Default Superior Salvage Kit Upgrade Suggestion

We all know the Superior Salvage kit costs more for something that does exactly the same as the Expert Salvage Kit, the only advantage being that you have more uses available. My suggestion is this: what about if a Superior Salvage kit could break down BOTH the modifiers on a weapon that has 2 of them instead of just one or the other which is what currently happens? Then it would definitely be worth the additional money and title of Superior!

Bacause you get 100 uses out of the Superior Salvage for 2k, instead of 25 uses for 400g, thus saving you 3 slots in your inventory. If you make it so that it has a probable chance to salvage both modifiers from a weapon you should make it around 3k to 4k. You are effectively doubling the number of weapons being found by being able to extract 2 modifiers instead of the current system.

But with the stipulation that it also costs a bit more. 3-4k sounds about right to me. At the moment, Sup Salvage kits are useless to me, since I hit town often enough that I never run out of the 25 uses and all my inventory space on a single run, unless I also pick up "trash" items. At the current rate, Exp Salv kits are by far the better choice for buying. This way, all three kits do something a little better as you move up the quality chain. Maybe even make Sup Salv guaranteed to get upgrades/rare mats (on certain quality items, and it'd have to cost even more then, maybe 5k?).

The same goes for Sup ID kits: regular ID does the same thing, but costs less per use. I don't see how to make Sup ID better though, since pricing them chaper makes regular ID obsolete to all but the poorest of players. Perhaps change the code on item mods to be determined only on ID/Salv? That way you could make Sup ID more likely to get better quality mods, and you could cut down on "scamming" un-ided item sales (where the seller tests for good mods before selling). Of course, the code might take considerable work, depending on how it's currently setup. But we can dream, eh?

Default Superior Salvage kit upgrade

Why wouldn't you want to get both the upgrades on an item that has two??? Or at least a chance to salvage both instead of a random chance of just one or the other as is currently the case. There are definitely times when I would like to get both the bowstring and grip, or the axehaft and handle, etc... when both are so juicy like a Sundering Axe of Fortitude, for example!

Another idea for an upgrade to the Superior Salvage Kit would be that you could actually break down the modifier/upgrade without actually destroying the base weapon. I wouldn't mind paying more for a kit like that!

Er, the whole point is that of course you'd want to get the items, but it would be bad for the economy if everyone did.

@ the guy who mentioned the inventory space, it takes up the same amount either way, you just have to replace it more often if you use Expert kits. Very minor inconvenience if you ask me, I use merchants often enough anyway...

I say nothing should be changed, just Sup. Salvage kits should be moved to 4x the price of Exp. ones instead of 5x, in order to match the useage count. Exp. would still be used by players who only needed to salvage a few specific items or were low on cash.

I'd say make it a bit under 4x the price of exp to make buying them even worth it...

Or giving like 10% chance better of not getting 29 woods from your 5:1 Vampiric Mursaat Horn Bow of Fortitude +30
